OUR LOVE STORY
How we met
Huddled by the counter at a Costa Coffee, Leah and Chris both reached for the very same cup, laughing at the coincidence.
In a quiet, kind moment, Chris stepped back and insisted Leah take the coffee, saying he could always wait.
Neither of them expected that small gesture to turn into an easy conversation about favourite local cafés.
Gradually the noise of the café faded as they talked, smiles growing warmer with every shared story.
Ever after, they’d say it all started with one cup of coffee, given freely, and a moment that felt like fate

Fast forward to
We have grown together through sun-soaked holidays in Santorini and wandering the winding streets of Venice, collecting memories and marking our next steps together. Each trip marked a new chapter, just as meaningful as the day we decided to move in together and make a shared space feel like home. We’ve taken bold steps into exciting new careers and changes in our jobs. We feel ready to embrace whatever the future holds, side by side.

The proposal
After promises of proposing in 2028 and Leah negotiating (having tantrums) this to 2026 the only element of surprise Chris had left was proposing before Christmas in 2025. Chris took Leah away to Ingleton. Where he planned each day to the minute. He planned a waterfall hike (where Leah said this would be the perfect place to be proposed to. Unfortunately, Chris thought Leah wouldn't want to be proposed to without make-up so did not bring the ring with him), a cafe visit followed by hot tub soak then out for a meal and back to our cabin for cheese and wine. This is where Chris awkwardly stood facing Leah with an obvious ring box in his back pocket which he was trying to hide. After small talk from Leah about how smelly the cheese was Chris started his speech which Leah looked confused about and when Chris asked "Will you marry me?" He got the response he always dreamed of, "Are you joking?"
The rest is history.

Gift Registry
We’ve chosen not to have a gift registry. We know that attending a wedding can be expensive, and truly, your presence is more than enough for us. If you would still like to give a gift, a contribution toward our honeymoon would be incredibly appreciated but please know it is absolutely not expected. We’re simply grateful to be able to celebrate together.
